The grassroots organization Bearing Witness @ ICE continues its weekly witness for immigrant justice every Wednesday from 11 AM to 1 PM in front of the ICE detention center in Burlington (located immediately behind the Burlington Mall). Attendance now regularly reaches 500 people and continues to grow.
Several St. Mark's parishioners attend these protests each week, standing in solidarity with immigrants and refugees. As people of faith called to welcome the stranger and defend human dignity, we recognize that advocacy and witness are essential expressions of our baptismal covenant.
Interested in joining? Contact Eric Kintner if you'd like to carpool with other St. Mark's members.
