We are called to sing God’s praises and to convey His unconditional love. Our music brings God’s people together and enhances the joy in our worship experience. Through prayer, worship, and scripture, we become followers of Christ. There are many opportunities for vocal and instrumental musicians of all ages and abilities to make a joyful noise unto the Lord.
Senior Choir: This group of high-school-age through adult singers rehearses on Wednesday evenings from 7:45 to 9:00. We sing at most Sunday services from September through May, in addition to Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, and Good Friday.
Junior Choir: These singers from Kindergarten through sixth grade get together on Sundays from 11:30 a.m. to noon for several weeks preceding the Christmas season and again before Easter. We sing on Christmas Eve, Palm Sunday, Easter Sunday, and Mother’s Day.
Special Music: Musicians of every kind are encouraged to perform during church services throughout the year.
Other gigs: Several members of the Senior Choir participate in the Interfaith Thanksgiving Eve service and the Community Christmas Chorus each year. In past years we have had a spring talent show and a Lenten Choral Evensong (in combination with All Saints’ Church in Chelmsford), and we are planning to have a Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols in December 2009.
Stay tuned: Keep your eye on the website calendar, the Lion’s Roar (our monthly newsletter), and the weekly service bulletin for news on upcoming musical events.
Sing joyfully!
