Register for Alpha for Men
(2007 Session begins on September 20th.)
Men…
Looking for
answers? Is there a God who really cares about me? Does
God hear my prayers? Can God guide me? How? Who is
Jesus? Is Jesus relevant to my life today?
If you would like to explore any of these questions with other men in
a fun and risk-free environment over eleven
thought-provoking weeks, then the Alpha course is for
you!
Who Can Benefit
from Alpha for Men?
-
Those wanting to investigate the claims
of Christianity
-
Those with questions about the Christian faith
-
Those who want to brush up on the basics
How Does Alpha Work?
The Alpha course meets for eleven Thursday evenings
(September 20 through December 6) from 7:30–9:00 pm in a
course member’s home. The weekly sessions cover a series
of talks looking at topics such as “Christianity:
Boring, Untrue, or Irrelevant?” and “Who is Jesus?” Each
evening starts with a take-out meal with beer/soda. This
informal meal gives you an opportunity to get to know
other men taking the course. The meal is followed by a
short video presentation and discussion.
The course
includes a weekend away (November 9 - 11) at a lakefront
resort in the White Mountains which will cover three
topics and include discussion. The weekend is a vital
part of the course and provides great opportunities for
fun and relaxation.
Registration fee (estimated to be near $25) will be
determined by the number of people in the course. Please
plan on about $5 each week to cover the cost of food and
beverages. There is a charge for the weekend to cover
food and lodging expenses. We keep all costs as low as
possible! Financial assistance is may be available for
the weekend.
How Can I Register?
If you are a man who is interested in or are just
getting going in the Christian faith, or simply have
questions about the meaning of life,

next Alpha course at St. Mark’s!
