In February, the Ellis family embarked on a trip to Tanzania! The primary purpose of the trip was a visit to the Faraja Primary School which provides a quality education and a caring home for poor, physically disabled children. The school was founded by close friends of Jean’s parents over 20 years ago and continues to be supported by generous donors as it enables the students who reside at the school to learn and grow. The Faraja Foundation also provides grants for critical community services which support other disabled children through daycare programs, supplies and equipment, and hospital-based corrective surgical procedures. During April and May, the funds collected in our Outreach box in the sanctuary will support the Faraja School and Foundation. At a Zoom meeting on Tuesday, April 2 at 7:00 pm, Jean, who serves on the Board of the school, will describe the school in more detail and show some pictures from their trip. More information about the Faraja School can be found at Faraja Primary School for Children with Physical Disabilities (farajaschool.org). Please contact Jean at jean.m.ellis@comcast.net if you have any questions.

Thank you!
